Hopwood Hall is a 144 seat tiered lecture hall at Lynchburg College. Teaching pedagogies had changed significantly, such that the existing traditional lecture hall seating arrangement no longer supported the college’s needs. They required a design that would support a more active learning style.
To accommodate a more collaborative learning environment, the seat layout specialists at American Seating proposed a deeper floor tier. The deeper tier could accommodate two rows of seating. The front row consists of Focus fixed lecture tables and Acton caster base chairs. The back row includes Acton tablet arm chairs in a beam mounted application.
