American Seating exhibits at the APTA Expo in New Orleans this Oct. 3-5, Booth 3533.
“We’re excited to show the APTA Expo’s 17,000 attendees what’s next for the future of transportation seating,” President and COO Tom Bush said. “We’re proud to meet the seating needs for customers throughout North America.”
The company is an active stakeholder in transportation discussions occurring at national and international levels. In May, American Seating co-hosted a major event with the Apollo Alliance featuring U.S. Deputy Secretary of Transportation John Porcari. The company was the third of only 10 sites across the United States to host such an event promoting green-collar jobs in transit.

InSight® – North America’s No. 1-selling transit seat on display
The best-selling city-service transit seat, InSight®, displays at American Seating’s Booth 3533 with an array of new styling options. The seat has been recognized for achievements in design, receiving the prestigious iF® (International Forum) and Red Dot design awards. InSight® features the largest personal sitting area on the market. In addition to new style, fabric and color options, American Seating has added the option for upholstered back panels. Combined, these elements help support APTA’s goal to improve the image of transportation and boost ridership.
InSight® can be specified using American Seating’s Interior Configurator tool – a free, web-based interactive design tool that lets users specify colors and actual seating components, and, with a few mouse clicks, see how these choices will look in a photo-realistic city bus interior. The latest version of the Configurator – which includes more fabrics, colors and the back-panel upholstery option – will be on display at American Seating’s booth for users to try.
