CHICAGONEOCON EXPO/SHOWROOM #10-148 – JUNE 10, 2013 — American Seating, a leader in innovative seating solutions for 127 years, introduced today several new products that can further complement and support existing American Seating products currently in the marketplace. The company also announced it has strengthened its product warranty.

The new, stackable Us® Tablet Arm developed for use with the award-winning Us Chair Family adds even greater flexibility, utility, and design continuity for specifier and facility manger alike. Available with or without several user-inspired accessories, it accommodates virtually any learning space requirement while also providing “ownership” for the needs of today’s student.

The durable, mar-resistant laminate writing surface is capable of supporting 175 pounds, making it a perfect solution for the rigorous demands of the education market. It boasts a generous work surface area of 215.5-square inches and is available in either a left- and right-hand model. Its flip-up function allows up to six Us Chairs to be stacked producing excellent storage capability. Students will enjoy generous room when seated and the ability to sit down in or stand up from the chair when the tablet arm is in the down position.

The tablet takes its design cues from the universal and simplistic aesthetic of the Us Chair Family enabling it to work seamlessly with any chair in the family. The tablet arm is available in a variety of laminate options, all of which can be easily matched with the 15 Us Chair Family shell colors.

The user-focused accessories consist of a cup-holder, a side rack and a bag hook. Each accessory is placed in a convenient area allowing the student to easily access his or her personal items while transitioning between tasks or different seating configurations. The dedicated cup holder, available in a one-part assembly, offers responsible placement for drink and nourishment. The bag hook keeps long-term supplies handy and off the floor. The side rack is ideal for transitioning between materials, keeping them organized and within reach.
